Hey there. Thanks for visiting my meager web space. Actually there’s a lot of things happening here. This site was named Purple and Gold not so long ago but I changed it to my name. Kind of fickle-minded, right? But this one will stay as long as this site is up (hopefully). Why was this site named Purple and Gold? It is because of my fanaticism and love of the Los Angeles Lakers and the storied franchise. But as you can see now, it’s renamed with my name. But the header still leaves a taste of my favorite team — very much, right?
I am 20 years old, and I am fourth year Economics student at DLSU-Manila. Originally, I had to finish Economics and Business Management but since I want to graduate already and my parents are begging me to finish my studies already, I am dropping my second degree so I could focus on finishing the Economics degree because I’m just almost done with the degree but for some major and minor subjects. I definitely enjoyed school, being in La Salle, but I also definitely think that it’s time for me to graduate from studying next year. I also already want to work now and experience holding big bucks in my hands. Pretty ambitious for an undergraduate.
I am a 20-year old blogging trying-hard who is still trying to find ways to improve my writing style to set my writing to one direction and to inject 100 percent more sense to my online blabbers. Frankly I haven’t found that yet. I’ve tried reading enough satirical and funny blogs but I just don’t think that’s the right track for me because I make satire and humour very corny and very shitty, so yeah. Some people say my writing style is more of informative, if not boring and corny. I subject to that opinion that my writings try to slap information to my readers’ (if there are any) faces, but not to the opinion that my blog is boring. Not at all. You might some parts of my writing boring and corny as fuck but I guess you would agree to me that not all of them are as such.
My blog upstart track record is not that good. I may hate Xanga and Blogger (Blogspot) users but that’s where my blogging started. Unmindful of Wordpress during my high school days, I’ve been stuck on Xanga and Blogger during high school days writing emo stuff and writing things about love. And I had one Xanga and one Blogger account back then. I just came to forget them as I moved to Wordpress. I was writing like a girl back then, with the pink stuff and girly in the text because I’m talking about love and I’m happy about it, to some emo pictures when I feel sad and when I encounter heartbreaks. I still used to wRiTe tHiS wAy bAcK tHeN during those days when I still had a Xanga and a Blogspot account. I remember that I also did this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!………………… I think I also tried registering an account in LiveJournal, I just can’t remember if I actually wrote something on that account after I registered. I also blogged in Friendster but I only posted 5 entries at most.
I also tried blogging at i.ph. If you can browse my first posts, all of these posts that I am talking about graced my days at i.ph. And then came Wordpress, and I was resurrected from the dead, the shit and the uncool ways of writing things down. But I lost my direction of writing since I dropped that emo and pinky girly stuff. That’s so gay when I think about it. Now I’m a bit of this and a bit of that. Good stuff, but is concentrated on really nothing. I can tell that I’m write much about the NBA, but I also write as much with my dailies, the tech stuff and the ka-jolog-jologan of Friendster. I also write as a contributor for the satirical basketball blog site The 15th Parallel. The contents of the site are all satirical basketball content, mostly focused on the happenings of UAAP and the NBA. We do have some serious content there though. I am still in that grasping process of that new writing style; that formation stage. The one which I will stick to. I may have been writing for more than a year already but I still haven’t found my writing identity in the Internet. I try being more sports oriented (thus the inspiration of the site name and design), I also try being a bit emo-ish and angry with something worth not being angry at, and I try to be informative by posting what’s the latest, some tidbits of information, and other shit. My identity in writing is still a mix-up. Not that it’s bad, but I’m still looking for that common writing style or theme that people will associate me for like with The Man Blog which is known for satire and humour. I’m still looking for that main concentration of my online writings.
Until then, it’s mostly going to be a mix and match.
