Oh my god I’m so happy of this development in the Lakers’ Roster! They get another reliable big man aside the injured star Andrew Bynum. This will surely bolster up the banged-up frontline of the Lakers and help their potent offense to become more potent. And the best part of this trade is that the Lakers only gave up Kwame Brown, Javaris Crittenton, the draft rights to Pau’s brother Marc Gasol, and another draft pick. The Lakers actually got rid of an achilles heel in their roster - Kwame Brown.

Though it’s sad to part ways with the Lakers draft pick Javaris Crittenton because of his potential and him being a crowd favorite in Lakerland, it’s no doubt that what the Lakers got back in return is more than what Javaris can actually offer. Kwame Brown, on the other hand, was a big joke. I was really relieved upon learning from the trade terms that he was included. Although I was saddened because he was part of the Lakers for three seasons, but he never really contributed anything significant. He frequently bobbled passes, quick-shot ugly shots inside the post, and was a horrible offensive liability. He could play post defense though, but that’s all the end of his worth to the team.

Way to go, Lakers Front Office! Job well done to Dr. Buss and Mitch Kupchak for bringing in Gasol to the Lakers.
